Winter in is a special season is it not? The lovely breeze, the icy evenings, the romantic skies…..just everything about it!
What makes it better is how you spend these evenings. And guess what? I have the perfect recipe for you! Spend your evening at the amazing Sheetal Da Dhabha!
Located in Lonavla, Shhetal Da Dhabha is a perfect blend of the old school dhabha and a modern restaurant. While maintaining the rusticness of a good old Dhabha, this place gives its patrons the comfort and luxury of a modern restaurant.
The first thing that I loved about Sheetal Da Dhabha is the vastness of it! It is huge, open air and absolutely spacious and you will absolutely love the grandeur of it all! They have some great activity areas of a pool table and a foosball table as well as some nice swings where you can spend some relaxing time.
Winters absolutely require a good drink, or 2 😛 and you can get that here! Opt for their signature cocktails or stir up your favorite concoction and enjoy it some good old Chakna! They also have sheesha available which is the best accompaniment for this weather!
What however, will blow your mind about this place is its food! They have some absolutely delicious food and I highly recommend that you try out some of their signature dishes! The Sheetal Special Roomali Masala Papad is an absolute must have and is an absolute perfect chakna to go with your drinks. Another amazing special starter here is the Cheese Garlic Naan which they serve with some schezwan sauce!
Also, dont forget to try their Kebabs and the Masala Fish Fry (if you love seafood).
For mains, stick to the basics of a Dhabha – The Butter Chicken or Paneer with buttery naans and ofcourse, end with a scrumptious Biryani!
No matter how full you are, do not miss the Jalebi which is served fresh from the Kadhai and is an absolute delight in the chilly winter evenings!
All in all, if you are looking for a quick break with your loved ones or your friends from the hustle and bustle of the city, Sheetal Da Dhabha is where you should be! They have some good live bands playing on Saturdays and you should definitely check on that before planning a trip!
Until next time…
